Georgetown International Kite and Cultural Festival
Caleb was really excited this year to be going to the Kite Festival. This marked our third straight year driving to Georgetown, Kentucky to attend. Once we arrived, we headed for the "Flying Field" and managed to get the kite up a few times before the rain started. Unfortuantely, it was a washout and a short-lived adventure. We ended up spending less than an hour at the Festival before leaving. From Georgetown we headed further south to Richmond for our next annual stop at Sonny's (for those of you who don't know...it's a wonderful BBQ restaurant widely known in the southern states).

"loving the baby"
Caleb was "loving the baby" as he calls it in this picture. He was giving her a hug and resting his head against hers.
3-2-1 Blast off!
It was finally warm enough today to take Caleb to the park. I had a hard time keeping up with him. He was so busy running from one thing to the other and then back again.
at play
When Caleb and I went for a walk around the neighborhood the other day, he just had to stop and play here. To our surprise two not-so-friendly dogs came out at us growling and barking. To say the least it gave us quite the scare. Thanks to a man from across the street, we were able to escape being bitten by them.

"Gary" from Spongebob Squarepants
Caleb, who is three years old, is very creative and drew this picture all by himself. He says, "It's Gary, mommy!"
